Summary: Actively participate in a High Performance Work Team environment, self-managing and sharing knowledge and skills with all other team members. Responsibilities: Ability to work safely in a multi-functional team environment. Ability to work with high speed manufacturing and converting equipment. Must possess problem solving and decision making skills. Identifies patterns of failures and ways to design out failures. Participates in cost effective decision making, for example: labor, parts, and materials. Is a team player who continually demonstrates leadership behavior and actively participates with team and others to provide the highest level of service and equipment to the site. Proactively participates in the design, implementation and upgrade of all reliability programs. Additionally spreads the learnings across the site. Provide training to the operating personnel in routine maintenance. Identify and maintain critical spare inventory levels, working with area planner & stores. Participates in shutdown planning and two-week planning processes, including work and parts preparation. Utilizes K-Cs Total Asset Life Cycle Management (TALCM) best practices to guide work methods. Minimum Qualifications Candidate must be a high school graduate with trade school education. Candidate must have three years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or military equivalent. Candidate must be able to work on elevated work platforms, catwalks, scaffolding, etc. Preferred Qualifications Candidate has completed a qualified instrumentation and/or electrical trade apprenticeship or candidate has equivalent military training and experience. Candidate has five years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or military equivalent. Other Qualifications: Candidate must meet and maintain medical qualifications required by the job. Candidate must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to work closely with other team members Candidate must be able to do the following: Participate in the E&I cross training program Remove, repair, and install: instruments, DCS components, and related equipment Setting up and operating test equipment associated with the maintenance of or the diagnosis and repair of industrial process control systems. Reading and using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs loop sheets, logic diagrams (ISA), blue prints, and drawings as required to install and troubleshoot instrument and electrical systems. Plan and lead operating area instrumentation and high technology work to assure and improve asset reliability Candidate must be proficient in using the SAP computer system and have the capability to learn window-based computer systems and new systems such as DTR. Must demonstrate proficiency in the following: Computer Troubleshooting, Digital Electronics, Distributed Control Systems, Electronic Testing, Process Controls (PID Loops), Process Measurement & Control, Programmable Logic Controllers and P&ID Reading, Electrical Preventive Maintenance, Uninterruptible Power Supply, Electrical Inspection and Motor Lubrication, Motor and Motor Controls, Oil Analysis, Variable Speed Drives (AC & DC). This is a highly responsible position requiring sound judgment in assuring that all duties are within general guidelines set by the Chief County Assessment Officer and the Chief Appraiser in accordance with Illinois state statue. Prepares the analysis and defense of the valuation cases associated with the Property Tax Appeal Board; this includes the defense of the valuations approved by the Lake County Board of Review. Performs appraisals and in-depth analysis on residential, commercial and industrial properties. Works with employees of eighteen township assessors offices, as well as taxpayers concerning valuation issues. Generates and distributes reports to township offices and Chief County Assessment office, expediting the accurate completion of the assessment process. Performs modified cost calculations utilizing a computerized mass appraisal system (CAMA). Confers with individual taxpayers, corporations and attorneys and/or agents to discuss and explain appraisals being performed. Testifies on behalf of the County at assessment appeal hearings before the State Property Tax Appeal Board and prepares appraisals to be used by the Board. Is responsible for organizing workload to facilitate timely completion of such. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions including exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
